UNDERSTANDING HOW API BRIDGE WORK

The Bridge operates based on "Signals." A Signal is essentially an instruction (not a choice) to Buy or Sell under specific conditions. The Bridge processes four types of Signals:

Long Entry (LE): Represents a new Buy action to create a Long position.
Long Exit (LX): Represents a Sell action to reduce or square off a Long position.
Short Entry (SE): Represents a new Sell action to create a Short position.
Short Exit (SX): Represents a Buy action to reduce or square off a Short position.

To place orders, the Bridge requires input values either from the Signal or the Symbol Settings window. Any values specified in the Symbol Settings window will override those provided by the Signal.

Signal Processing Workflow:

The Signal is received in the Bridge.
Signal settings are applied based on Application Settings and Signal Settings.
Risk Management rules are applied as defined in Application Settings (Global Risk Management).
A request is sent to the API to execute the order.
